Michelle Marie Vincent, 56 of Pittsfield, MA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 6, 2021 while snowmobiling.
Born in Pittsfield, MA on March 21, 1964, to James Edward and Doreen L. (Virgilio) Vincent, Michelle grew up in Dalton where she attended elementary school and then graduated from Wahconah Regional High School. She earned her degree from Berkshire Community College, in Pittsfield, MA, where she spent her adult life.
Michelle’s passions included travel, snowmobiling, skiing, and boating. She took several boating trips to Lake George, NY and went on snowmobile adventures in the US and Canada; there she embraced the culture, learned a little French and adored being one with nature. She loved life’s scenery. Michelle was also fiercely loyal to her family, her pup Lexi, and friends. She loved to visit her parents while in Florida and there, much like the snow, she loved the water, sand and collecting shells on the beach. She lit up a room wherever she arrived. She was funny, her laugh was contagious, full of life. She had a robust, fiery, and caring personality. Michelle accepted challenges head on with vigor and an infectious smile. Her outgoing nature, and love will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Michelle was most recently employed at South Side Sales and Service in North Adams as a Consultant of Marketing and Internet based Advertising and Inventory. Before that, she worked for many years at The Western MA Penny Saver as an Advertisement Sales Executive and Designer. She also spent several years working with the Yankee Shopper. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Michelle was a member and former President of the Kanary Kats Snowmobile Club, where she was a lead organizer for events and media reporter on trail conditions and safety.
When you think of Michelle, celebrate the good memories you have of her. She would want that. Remember that life is fragile, short and should be lived to the fullest, which she did.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Del (Alba) Virgilio and Harry (Elizabeth) Vincent. She leaves behind her parents, Doreen and James Vincent of Cheshire, MA, her brother, James E. Vincent Jr. of Pittsfield. She also leaves her two nephews, Cody, and Alec; her Uncle and Aunts, Bernard (Cynthia) Virgilio and Del (Jane) Virgilio and Harry Jr. Vincent and Phyliss (Birr) Vincent; great nieces, many cousins, and close friends. She also leaves behind her beloved companion dog, Lexi.
