Obituary for Kim Ann Costa (Renzi)

Kim Ann Costa (Renzi), 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a year-long battle against cancer.

Kim was born on August 1, 1957 to James Renzi and Fay Canavan Renzi, both of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Kim was born and raised in Pittsfield and created a life and home that was filled with love and happiness. She married the love of her life, Horace J. Costa Jr., not once but twice. She was an amazing cook but terrible at writing down recipes. She loved the sun and the ocean and created many memories with her family vacationing at the beach. She had a passion for horseback riding and playing the ponies at nearby race tracks.

She gambled boldly, laughed loudly, and loved fiercely. She loved to shop, play cards with her mother and sisters, and eat good food. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was an endless well of fun and love for them. Her family meant everything to her and her life’s work was building a home and a legacy that they will carry on.

Kim worked for Berkshire Health Systems and created life-long friendships with her Occupational Health crew. She enjoyed their back yard gatherings and girls trips to the fullest.

Kim is survived by her husband, Horace Costa Jr. Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren; Danielle Costa (Cameron Stockton) Quinn and Peyton; Nicole Costa Saenz (Gabriel Saenz) Emilie, Zachary, Cooper, Abry, Gus; Derek Costa. She also leaves behind her mother, Fay Renzi, and siblings Sheila Aiken, Donna Hayes, and Mark Renzi as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, James Renzi and brother, Michael Renzi.

In honor of Kim’s wishes, her family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com
