Obituary for Gloria Jean Rose (Harrington)
Gloria Jean (Harrington) Rose, 62 of North Adams, MA died Friday April 2, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
She was born in North Adams, MA on May 25, 1958, a daughter of the late Henry William Harrington and Harriet Catherine (Shearer) Harrington O'Neil. She attended local schools including Drury High School.
Gloria was last employed by the former Berkshire Stationery. Before that, she worked at Jarisch Paper Box Co. for several years. Gloria had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Paul Rose, whom she married on June 25, 1977 and two daughters-Rebecca Sweet (Timothy Houghtaling) of Stamford, VT and Christine Costa (Joshua) of North Adams, MA and one son- James Rose (Rebecca) of Cheshire, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren including Bryson Rose, Evan Rose, Cortney DeVito, Stephanie Rose and Richard Winters III; one great grandson- Richard Winters IV; three sisters- Katherine Raney, Sarah Perry and Patricia Bessette; two brothers- John Harrington and Henry Harrington and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters- Frances, Mary and Rose and her brother- Jody
