Sam Pevey, 50 of North Adams, MA died Friday April 2, 2021 at his home. Born Frederick Joseph Pevey III on October 24, 1970, he was the son of Frederick Joseph Pevey Jr. and Shirley (Burnett) Strickland. He attended Adams schools including Hoosac Valley Regional High School. He also attended North Adams State College, Salem State College and UMass. Sam was the self employed proprietor of Pevey Tech. He enjoyed gaming and was the longtime coach of Northern Berkshire Girls Softball. Survivors include his mother, Shirley (Burnett) Strickland of North Adams; his father Frederick J. Pevey Jr of Virginia and three daughters including Courtney L. Warren of Whitinsville, MA, Brittany Rae Bombard of Chicopee, MA and McKenna Victoria Pevey of North Adams. He also leaves one brother- Joseph (Pevey) Burnett of Clarksburg; his niece, Mikayla Ruth Burnett of San Antonio, TX and his former wife, Trina Michael (Galli) Pevey of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Sam Pevey will be held on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUENRALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 5-6 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Northern Berkshire Girls Softball in care of the funeral home.
