Obituary for Evangeline Christine Westcott
Evangeline (Smart) Westcott, 74, of Adams, died on Saturday, May 28, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Evangeline was born in Boston, MA on October 22, 1946 a daughter of the late John Smart and Georgiana (Rose) Smart. Evangeline graduated Springfield Technical High School and attended the University of Massachusetts. She was the director of the Amherst Survivor Center for thirty years. Evangeline received the Dakin Medal for human services from the Amherst area Chamber of Commerce and the State of Massachusetts in 2001. She enjoyed Pinteresting, gardening, and doll houses. Evangeline married Ernest K. Westcott on December 4, 1964; he died July 16, 2007.
Evangeline leaves her daughter Marnie Wells of Adams, son Cannon Westcott of Adams, as well as seven grandchildren including Heyley and Robin; a brother Henry Smart and his wife Linda of North Carolina. As well as a companion Fernando Jeffory of Adams. Evangeline was predeceased by Ernest Westcott Jr. and Dana Westcott.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of her life will take place with a pot luck picnic at Look Park in Florence, MA on July 31, 2021 from 10AM until sun down.
