Obituary for Mario Augustino Bolognani

Mario Augustino Bolognani, 82 of Readsboro, VT died on Wednesday November 24, 2021 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, following a brief illness.
Mario was born in Bennington, VT on September 5, 1939, a son of Alfonso and Carmella (Cristofolini) Bolognani. Mario attended Readsboro schools and the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams.
Mario was last employed by GS Precision in Brattleboro, VT. Before that, he worked at the former Deerfield Glassine. Mario was also the longtime bartender at American Legion Post #29 in Readsboro.
Mario was a communicant of St. Joachim's Church and was a 64-year member of the Readsboro Volunteer Fire Dept. Mario enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and he was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball fan.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Roberta (Nadeau) Bolognani whom he married on May 6, 1961 and one daughter - Arlene Marie (Richard) Noel of North Adams, MA; and two sons- Richard Michael (Naomi) Bolognani of Whitingham, VT and Robert Anthony (Patti) Bolognani of Wilmington, VT. He also leaves six grandchildren - Tarryn Schneider, Bryan Russell Noel, Alexander Richard Noel, Jordyn Rose Bolognani, Eric James Bolognani and Jess Cronin; five great grandchildren including Dominick Mario Noel, Landon William Noel, Adelaide Reylene Noel, Taden Jarred Schneider, and Karver Richard Schneider and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson - Jarred Richard Bolognani and two brothers are deceased Richard Bolognani who died in the Korean War and Mario who died in infancy.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mario Bolognani will be celebrated Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Joachim's Church in Readsboro. Burial will follow in the Readsboro Village Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Monday from 4-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Readsboro Volunteer Fire Dept; American Legion Post #29; or the Jarred Richard Bolognani Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
