Obituary for Mona Lee Leavens
Mona Lee (Finger) Leavens was born in Kingston, NY on November 22nd, 1969 to Barry Lee Finger and Laurel Duncan. Sadly, she passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
Mona attended local schools including Hoosac Valley High. On October 27th, 1990 she married her sweetheart, Jeffrey Thomas Leavens Sr, in Pittsfield MA. She was a homemaker and family was extremely important to her. Her favorite hobbies were outdoors and included fishing, camping, and swimming. Above all though, her favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her father, Barry Lee Finger Sr; her husband, Jeffery Thomas Leavens Sr; her five children, Jeffrey, John, Brittany with partner Edward Gyurasz, Brandon, and Sabrina Leavens with partner Austin Shepard; her siblings, Laura Bailey, Barry Finger Jr, Ronda Finger, Debbie Cook, and step-sister Karen Rarick. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones.
She was predeceased by her mother, Laurel Duncan; beloved grandparents, Virgil and Shirley Finger; grandmother Geraldine Peak; her cousin Tanya Conklin; and her nephew Dwayne Daniels.
