Obituary for Laura Jane Graham

Laura Jane Graham, 67, of Becket, MA died Sunday April 24, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Staten Island, NY on November 25, 1954, a daughter of the late John Walter Graham and Catherine Regina (Cattafesta) Graham. Laura graduated from Millburn High School, NJ, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in English and Ph.D. in Theatre History/Critical Studies from UCLA.
Laura was the producing director for the Lee Strasberg Creative Center in West Hollywood, CA where she received the Dramalogue Critics Award for Best Director, her lead actor, Andrew Prine, Best Actor, for her production of "Buried Child" by Sam Shepard. She also served as a director/professor at CUNY and Marymount Manhattan College. Shifting gears for her love of animals, she was last employed as the salon manager at Shaker Hill Grooming Salon, PVH, in Pittsfield. Laura enjoyed writing fiction novels and short stories. She was a dedicated fitness enthusiast and an avid walker.
Survivors include one brother- John Graham of Duluth, MN and one sister- Catherine Cripe of California. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
