Frances Ann (Albano) Devanny, 83 of Pittsfield, MA died on Thursday June 23, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA on January 11, 1939, a daughter of James J. and Margaret (Candilore) Albano. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School.
Frances was last employed by Berkshire Mutual Insurance Co. Before that, she worked at Shaeffer Eaton Textron. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Frances enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball and Notre Dame Football fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Christopher.
Survivors include the love of her life- James J. Devanny III whom she married on September 27, 1958 and three daughters including twins- Kelly A. Devanny and Karen M. (John) Devanny-Adams, both of Cheshire, CT; and Kristine M. Devanny of Pittsfield. She also leaves her grandson-Christopher Adams of Cheshire, CT; one sister- Nancy A. Leone of Pittsfield, MA and one brother- Donald T. (Gayle) Albano of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters including Ralph Albano, Angelo Albano, Gabriel "Bill" Albano, Bernina Williams, Philomena Davis, Josephine Jakacky, and Ann Pivero.
