Obituary for Jeffrey Allen Cardinal

Jeffrey Allen Cardinal, 53 of North Adams died on Tuesday July 26, 2022 after a courageous fight with cancer.
Jeff was born on February 17, 1969 in North Adams, MA a son of Valerie (Beauchamp) Cardinal and the late Charles Cardinal. Jeff attended local schools and graduated from McCann Technical School- Machine Tech Program with the class of 1987, where he was the proud captain of his football team. Jeff was employed for 16 years by Wilk Builders as a contractor. Not only was he employed by Mark, but the Wilk’s became a second family to Jeff.
Jeff will always be remembered for his fun-loving personality, zest for life, and ability to make everyone laugh. His big smile could light up any room; he was the life of the party and the biggest jokester. He was hard working, and a phone call away to anyone who needed a hand! He never gave up, and fought to beat cancer up until the final days. He was an avid Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. He even received the support from Red Sox Hall of Famer, David Ortiz aka Big Papi and was recently able to FaceTime with him. His last trip to Fenway included time spent in a suite, seats in the second-row dugout, and an experience in the WEEI radio booth where he was able to meet one of his icons, Joe Castiglione. Jeff also enjoyed his scratch tickets, time spent outside, fishing with his buddies, and gardening.

Jeff leaves his beloved daughter, Brittany Cardinal and her partner TJ, his mother, Valerie Cardinal, and his partner, Nancy O’Brien. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his brother Stephen Cardinal in 2018. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the community for all of their love and support; this fight wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.
