Obituary for Barbara Kathleen Martel
Barbara Kathleen (Blanchette) Martel, 62, of North Adams, died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on September 212022. She was born in Adams on January 26, 1960, the daughter of Donald and Barbara Blanchette. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School. Barbara married early in life to Joseph Martel that marriage ended shortly thereafter in divorce.
Barbara was a kind and caring person, unfortunately, she was plagued by chronic mental illness that made her life a challenge at best.
She leaves no children.
She is survived by a brother, David Blanchette and his wife Darlene of Clarksburg and a sister Sue Timoneda of Chicopee. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Stephen Blanchette.
