Obituary for Stephen David Budrow

Stephen David Budrow, 86 of Williamstown, MA and East Machias, ME died on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at his home in Williamstown.
He was born in Pittsfield, MA on February 10, 1936, a son of Edward J. and Rebecca C. (Drummond) Budrow. Mr. Budrow was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for over 30 years until his retirement in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Jean I. (Cooke) Budrow, whom he married on July 11, 1975 in Stockbridge, MA; and two sons- Stefan I. (Toni) Budrow of Jackson, NJ and Ethan A. (Lindsay Bleau) Budrow of Readsboro, VT. He also leaves four grandchildren- Lacie Hyde, Stefanie A. Budrow, Laird E. Budrow and Maeve M. Budrow. Two sisters are deceased- Caroline Lusignan and Ruth O'Neil.
Stephen was a member of the GE Pensioners. He was a genealogist for over 50 years and was one of the founders of the Berkshire Family History Association. Steve was also a board member of the Berkshire County Historical Society located at Arrowhead. Steve gave lectures on early American Cemeteries and his rubbing of the tombstone of John Sargent, an early 18th century missionary in Stockbridge has been accepted for permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC.
