Obituary for Kathleen Elizabeth "Kate" Bunn (McGrath)
Kathleen Elizabeth (McGrath) Bunn, 69 of Pittsfield, MA died Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.
She was born in Northampton, MA on August 31, 1953, a daughter of the late James and Agnes (Serowick) McGrath. She graduated from Frontier Regional High School with the class of 1971. Kathleen (Kate) proudly completed her Registered Nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts at Berkshire Community College and lovingly shared her knowledge and skills for over 30 years.
She was last employed at Berkshire Medical Center where she worked in its McGee Unit. Before that, Kathleen was the assistant nursing director at Berkshire Place and as a Registered Nurse at many nursing homes throughout Berkshire County. Katie was a creative artist, writer, and seamstress who made her own clothes and shared those natural talents at novelty shops in the Pioneer Valley. She was an excellent cook, a devoted wife, and a beautiful person. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael John Bunn whom she married on October 4, 1975; one sister- Elizabeth McGrath of Greenfield, MA and one brother- William McGrath of South Deerfield, MA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Joyce McGrath.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Kathleen Bunn will be celebrated Saturday November 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM at St. Mark's Church by the Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA are Friday from 5-7 PM.
