Obituary for Jayne Victoria McBurney
Jayne Victoria McBurney, 24, of Readsboro, Vt passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Portland, ME. Jayne was born on May 21, 1998 in Fall River, MA. She was the daughter of Steven J. and Kara (Poulton) McBurney.
Jayne was a graduate of Twin Valley High School. Jayne loved hiking, fishing and searching for sea glass on the beach. She also loved listening to music. Jayne was an avid reader and a very talented writer. She published a book when she was only 18. Anyone who knew Jayne knows how much she loved her yellow VW Buggie she named Delilah. She loved playing with her two nephews Jonathan and Hoyt, always making them laugh.
Witty, colorful and very spirited, Jayne was a good friend who never hesitated to help anyone. A life long animal lover, Jayne loved her rescue kitty Nell. One of the more recent awesome things Jayne loved was her new job at American Airlines as a ramp agent.
Jayne is survived by her loving parents, Steven and Kara McBurney, her brother Steven A. McBurney and sister Meghan A. DeBlois. She also leaves behind her nephews, Jonathan and Hoyt DeBlois, as well as her paternal grandmother, Lois McBurney; and many loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held at the VFW at 573 Mohawk Trail, North Adams, MA on December 30th at 1 PM. Graveside services for Jayne will be in the springtime in Village Cemetery, Readsboro, Vermont. Donations can be made to Windham County Humane Society at 916 W River Road #9098.
