Obituary for Craig Miller Fulton

Craig Miller Fulton, 75 of Florida, MA and former longtime resident of Berlin MA, died on Sunday January 1, 2023 at his home.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 18, 1947, a son of Frederick and Jean (MacCaffray) Fulton. He graduated from Natick High School in 1965 and received a BA in biology from Boston University in 1969. Following his military service, he attended Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1975, where he met Susan. Craig earned his bachelor's degree in Nursing from Atlantic Union College (1994) and his Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from Framingham State College.
Craig was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War earning a bronze star medal and combat medical badge among his many decorations. He was a First Lieutenant in charge of a first aid station in Phu Bai, close to the northern border.
He was last employed as the director of peri-operative services at UMass Memorial Heathcare- University campus in Worcester. In retirement, he worked part-time as a supervisor at Marlborough Hospital.
Craig was a member of the VFW in North Adams. He was a talented artist and wood worker. He carved decoys, made, decorated and restored furniture. Early in retirement he opened a folk art business specializing in animal portraits. He was an avid audiophile for decades, building speakers from plans including the boxes. Craig loved to brew beer, hard cider and root beer. He was an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Susan Marie (Sullivan) Fulton, whom he married on October 10, 1975 and two daughters- Jessica Sullivan O'Toole and her spouse Adam of Lancaster, MA and Kathryn Sullivan Mitra and her spouse Rana of Purchase, NY. He also leaves five grandchildren- Eli Miller, Simon Edward, Owen Louis, Isani Marie, and Rohan Krishna; one brother- Bruce Fulton of Tenn; and 9 nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Craig will be held at his home in the spring.
