Obituary for James Fisk

James Fisk passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2023 after a brief but fiercely fought battle with cancer. James was born in Bennington VT on July 16, 1969 a son of the late Gordon and Charlene (Kretzmer) Fisk. Survivors include his three children, James Fisk, Bryan Fisk and Jenessa Moulton (Jason), his stepson Michael Quick, and seven grandchildren. He also leaves his sister Kenna Waterman (Jay) of Pownal, VT., Stephen Fisk of Pownal, VT., and Allen Fisk of North Adams.
Jim was an easygoing man with a love for anything and everything relating to nature. He was always willing to share his knowledge and passion for camping, fishing, and hiking to anyone who was willing to listen. It was common to find Jim in the woods camping under the stars. His biggest accomplishment and greatest pride was in knowing that he had instilled his love of the wilderness and all creatures big and small to his children.
Jim also leaves behind many great friends.
“Though I know we must be parted
As sure as stars are in the sky
I’m gonna see when it comes to glory
And I’ll see you, I’ll see you on the other side
Yes, I’ll see you, I’ll see you on the other side”

Jim’s family would like to thank Hospice Care in the Berkshires and Pop Cares for their support and assistance during his last days. Private graveside services will take place in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA. Memorial donations are suggested for PopCares, P.O. Box 482, Williamstown, MA. or through the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. 01247.
