Obituary for Larry Edward Schofield
Larry Edward Schofield, 76 of Pittsfield, MA died on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in Brattleboro, VT on October 25, 1946, a son of Norman Bradford Schofield and Hazel Bertha (Randall) Schofield. He graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1965.
Larry worked at AH Rice Co. for 40 years and then worked at Hi Tech Mold & Tool for 10 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Pittsfield. Larry enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Redskins.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth E. (Hover) Schofield whom he married on July 3, 1971 and his brother Reginald (Thelma) Schofield of Pittsfield. He also leaves his two grandchildren, Anthony Hover and Katelynn Williams, his son in law- William Boivin of Pittsfield and nieces and nephews including Shawn Schofield, Reginald Schofield Jr, Shannon Schofield, Clifford Hover, Shawn Michael Hover, Ronald John Hover, David Hover, Samantha Hover, Jessica Hover, Diane Massey, Bobbi Jo Grzelak, Vanessa Kalinas and Laura Tobin. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Jean Boivin on January 21, 2018. He was also predeceased by other beloved family members including Robert Hover, Richard Hover, Amanda Hover, Robert J. Hover Jr. and Austin Grzelak.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Larry Schofield will be Sunday March 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA.
