Obituary

Donald Joseph Boesse (Joe), 57, passed quietly at his home on Sunday May 31, 2020 after a long 8 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Joe was born in North Adams MA on November 28, 1962 to Donald E. and Marilyn (Forfa) Boesse.

He leaves behind his wife of 22 years Jeanette Lacy. A daughter Katelyn Boesse and two beautiful grandchildren Skylar and Calvin. He is also survived by two sisters Rebecca and Amber Boesse, as well as a brother Ryan Boesse, all in North Adams; two brothers-in-law Frank Kenner and Omar Hilton. Three nieces Mya, Zaida and Nevaeh Kenner and 2 nephews Joshia and Jedediah Hilton.

Joe also leaves behind an awesome extended family in Michigan where he has resided the past 4 years along with his faithful 4 legged companion Louie. He is predeceased by both parents.

Joe grew up here in North Adams, attending local schools; then entered into Military Service in 1980 . He was stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, NC. With time also spent stationed in Germany.
Upon returning to civilian life he settled in the Berkshires and was employed for many years at Crane Co. and Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield before retiring because of ill health. Joe was passionate about building model cars and loved to display them for everyone to see. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outside in Nature. One of his greatest pleasures was taking his granddaughter fishing with him.
A graveside service with military honors, followed by a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Flynn Dagnoli Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements.
